At our hospital, Apex Clinic, it is possible to reverse the loss of hair, a crucial part of our physical appearance, with a hair transplant procedure performed by specialist doctors at our hospital.
Hair transplantation is a cosmetic procedure, which is the only effective and permanent solution to recovering the hair on the scalp. Eliminating the bothersome issue of hair loss is now easier with developing technology in hair transplantation.
Hair plays a major role not only in our physical appearance but also in our self-confidence, and can unfortunately fall out due to stress, hormonal imbalances, genetic predisposition, lack of vitamins, anemia, adverse external physical conditions, burns, accidents and surgical scarring. However, you can regain your lost hair with a hair transplant.
Although hair loss appears to be a major and common problem among men, women also suffer hair loss due to thyroid diseases, genetic reasons, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, chemotherapy, seasonal hair loss, skin diseases and stress; therefore, women also undergo hair transplant surgery. However, since grafts taken from women are not coded for life-long growth, hair loss may occur again in the area where the hair is transplanted.
Hair transplantation surgery that can be performed at our hospital in all male and female patients who suffer from hair loss and do not have a severe chronic disease can be repeated up to 4 sessions if the desired results cannot be reached in one session.
The duration of the procedure may vary depending on the type of hair, size of the hair transplantation area and hair transplantation method. The average hair transplantation process varies between 6 to 8 hours. Prior to the procedure performed under local anesthesia, the hair is cut to 1-2 mm in length. The transplantation area is cleaned with antiseptic solutions.
The transplanted hair falls out within a month, then, begins to grow permanently within 6 to 9 months, and takes its final form in 1 year.
